If the past three songs released off Chris Brown’s forthcoming 45-song album weren’t enough of a tease from the project, then here’s another track to get you ready for the drop.
Chris Brown shares “Everybody Knows,” along with “Pull Up” and “Hope You Do,” as a trio release from Heartbreak On A Fullmoon. It’s the second release of three songs at once, from last week’s “Confidence,” “Tempo” and “Only 4 Me.”
“Everybody Knows” is a smooth, easy listening track that hears Chris rapping about “being worth it” with the pre-hook being “you don’t know how I feel.”
Of the three most recent releases, which are currently available in select international markets only (sorry about that), “Pull Up” stands out as the most immediately accessible. Over an up-tempo, chime driven beat, Chris Breezy showcases his versatile voice, sliding effortlessly into falsetto as he spits game.
The percussion is particularly clever, with the kicks pounding in triplicate in tandem with Breezy’s melody. Sonically, it’s certainly one of the more intriguing Heartbreak tracks we’ve received thus far; Chris Brown occasionally drowns his voice in effects, and his clever vocoder use would make both Roger Troutman and Kanye West proud.
